When the young ivy starts to climb the walls of your house, it can be aesthetically pleasing, but be careful that you don't become overrun, as it's very difficult to remove! The climbing plant clings on to walls with the aid of small tendrils that remain attached to the wall. Cleaning the wall with a brush is time-consuming and can damage the cladding. So our advice is: watch the ivy closely! Ivy is not easy to get rid of as the leaves are waxy and prevent the weedkiller from penetrating properly. We advise you to cut the ivy one metre from the ground, and remove all of the aerial part before treating it with a ready-to-use weedkiller for ivy and weeds with deep roots, as soon as new leaves appear (apply the ivy weedkiller to young, light green shoots).
